This indicator measures current spending on health by social insurance financing schemes in national currency units and current prices following the OECD System of Health Accounts (SHA). Social insurance financing schemes are compulsory and mainly financed by contributions. Contributions are community rated and may not be related to the individual health risk of the insured.
