This indicator measures current spending on health by public financing schemes in national currency units and current prices following the OECD System of Health Accounts (SHA). Public financing schemes include general government spending on health and social health insurance financing. Social health insurance schemes are compulsory and mainly financed by contributions. Contributions are community rated and may not be related to the individual health risk of the insured.


Coding rules

The COW country coding rules are used.
