"Labor force with advanced education/female working-age population" measures the proportion of women in the labor force who have advanced degrees. In accordance with the International Standard Classification of Education 2011 (ISCED 2011), advanced education is defined as a bachelor's degree or its equivalent, a master's degree or its equivalent, a doctorate degree or its equivalent, or short-cycle tertiary education.

Coding rules

By dividing the number of female population with advanced education aged 15+ by the total female population aged 15+, the variable is computed. Teorell et al. (2024:1532) define the variable as "The percentage of the working age female population with an advanced level of education who are in the labor force. Advanced education comprises short-cycle tertiary education, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent education level, a master’s degree or equivalent education level, or doctoral degree or equivalent education level according to the International Standard Classification of Education 2011 (ISCED 2011)."
