Coding rules

We draw data from the 2016 released AidData Core Research Release version 3.1 dataset (Tierney et al. 2011). This dataset provides the most comprehensive project-level data for tracking international development finance. It depicts annual dyadic data on development aid commitments. The data spans a time frame from 1973 until 2018. For any country we summed up the aid commitment in a given year.
