The indicator referes to the participation in the International Large Scale Assesment called: The Teaching and Learning International Survey (TALIS). The study asks teachers and school leaders about working conditions and learning environments at their schools to help countries face diverse challenges. It is administered by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

Coding rules

Participation in the study is coded with 1. If only a part of the mentioned country took part, we still code it as the larger entity. For example for participation of Dubai, we code the United Arab Emirates.
