Data

Data Type: String, Numeric, Date time (choose only one)

Scale: Binary, Multinominal, Ordinal, Metric, not applicable (choose only one)

Value Labels: (if applicable, otherwise delete)

  • 0 = No election
  • 1 = Election took place

Long Description: Based on the election date a year-dummy is derived indicating whether an election took place or not.

Coding Rules: For presidential elections the election date of the second round is coded because it constitues the decisive date (for further details see also the documentation for election date).
