This indicator provides which specific social groups are entitled to health care benefits by national legislation. By entitlement, we are interested in the social groups given the explicit right to claim benefits. The philosophical assumption is that groups of people have a right to protection and services based on the status or characteristics of the group specified.
Coding rules
The indicators are formatted and provided as character strings, which represent the document based data on country year level. Depending on the variable, several steps / levels of aggregation were performed and indicators were formated as ‘lists objects’. A list starts with ‘[‘, it ends with ‘]’, and its elements are devided by a ‘,’.
