This is a duplicate version of data on state membership in the ILO showing the value labels as strings instead of numeric values. For the full documentation refer to the original numeric version of the classification.

Coding rules

• The data is based on the Correlates of War IGO Version 3.0 dataset which expands the original Wallace and Singer (1970) dataset to 1816-2014. Data after 2014 was extended by CRC 1342 researchers.
• The ordinal indicator captures no (=0) or full (=1) membership in the intergovernmental organization; if applicable, further statuses are coded.
• Years in which the intergovernmental organization was not existent/not yet founded are coded as 99.
• Unless noted otherwise, membership is reported valid as of December 31st of a given year.
